€5 travel supplement per visit
Your treatment at home, with the Cambria team.
Check availability on WhatsAppHeavy legs and swollen ankles are common during pregnancy, especially at the end of the day. Our pregnancy pressotherapy is a 30-minute session on the legs only, at low pressure and in a semi-reclined position, designed to help you rest and feel lighter legs. It is not a medical treatment for oedema and we do not offer it to every pregnant woman: only from the second trimester, in uncomplicated pregnancies, after a prior assessment and with approval from your gynaecologist or midwife.

It depends on each pregnancy. Many aesthetic guides list pregnancy among the general contraindications for pressotherapy, so it is not something to do lightly. At Cambria we only perform it in uncomplicated pregnancies, from the second trimester and with approval from your gynaecologist or midwife, always on the legs and at low pressure. If any of these conditions is not met, we do not perform it.
No. We do not perform pressotherapy during the first trimester.
Only if the pregnancy remains uncomplicated and your gynaecologist or midwife approves it. Before every session we ask how you are feeling. Sudden swelling of the face or hands, a severe headache or changes in vision are not a reason for pressotherapy but a reason to contact your medical team the same day.
We do not perform it if there is a history or suspicion of thrombosis, high blood pressure or pre-eclampsia, a high-risk pregnancy, heart or kidney problems, or wounds or infections on the legs. Nor if you notice pain and swelling in only one leg. If in doubt, ask your gynaecologist or midwife and we will review it together at the assessment.
The scientific evidence is limited. A 2015 Cochrane review on leg oedema in pregnancy found only one small pneumatic compression trial, with 35 women, and no significant difference in leg volume compared with rest. That is why we do not promise to reduce swelling: what many clients do describe is legs that feel more rested afterwards.
Yes, with a Cambria professional: we bring the equipment to your home for a €5 supplement per visit, and the same conditions apply as in the clinic (second trimester, uncomplicated pregnancy and approval from your gynaecologist or midwife). What we do not recommend is using home or rental boots on your own: pressure, position and duration need adjusting, and contraindications must be ruled out first.
Each session lasts 30 minutes. We set the frequency at the assessment, based on how your legs feel and what your gynaecologist or midwife advises.
A single session costs €15, the 5-session pack €60 (€12 per session) and the 10-session pack €100 (€10 per session). We also offer a prenatal massage + pressotherapy pack for €60. Your first assessment is free.
Yes. The prenatal massage focuses on the lower back and tension, and pressotherapy on the legs. The prenatal massage + pressotherapy pack in the same visit costs €60.
