Before your session
- Shave the area 24-48 hours beforehand with a razor; avoid wax and tweezers for the previous 3-4 weeks
- Avoid intense sun exposure and self-tanners for the 2 weeks before
- Arrive with clean skin: no creams, oils or deodorant on the area to be treated
- Tell us if you take photosensitising medication or have noticed any skin changes
After your session
- Apply SPF 50 sunscreen daily to any treated areas that remain exposed
- Avoid direct sun for a week and intense heat (sauna, very hot baths) for the first 48 hours
- Moisturise the area daily to soothe the skin and speed up recovery
- Treated hair sheds on its own within 1-3 weeks: don't pull it out, let it fall

You should avoid sun exposure for a week, use sunscreen daily, avoid saunas and very hot baths, and not apply irritating products to the treated area. We recommend constant skin hydration.
Does it work on blonde, red or grey hair?+
The laser targets the melanin in the hair, so it is most effective on medium to dark hair. Very blonde, red or white hair responds less; at your initial assessment we will tell you honestly what result you can expect in your case.
Can I remove hair between sessions?+
Yes, but only with a razor or depilatory cream, which cut the hair without pulling out the root. Wax, tweezers and epilators remove the follicle the laser needs as a target, so they should be avoided throughout the treatment.
Can I have laser hair removal in summer?+
Yes. The ELYSION PRO 2000 can treat darker phototypes and lightly tanned skin by adjusting the parameters at each session. That said, avoid intense sun in the days before and after each session and use sunscreen daily on the treated areas.
Is laser hair removal permanent?+
We talk about permanent reduction: the vast majority of treated follicles stop producing hair. Over time, hormonal factors can activate the occasional new follicle, so some people have an occasional touch-up session, usually once a year.
